
Niesha Okere is a writer & poet from Philadelphia. She writes speculative poems & microfiction about grief, girl hood, and everyday life. Her work appears or is forthcoming in hex literary, Variant Literature, Allium: A Journal of Poetry & Prose, Barren Magazine, and other publications. She is the author of the chapbook, Blue Girls (Finishing Line Press, 2024). And her writing has been nominated for the Best of the Net.
She has a bachelor’s in Magazine Journalism from Temple University and has worked as a journalist, digital producer, and strategist. Currently, she is pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing.
